Reflection-My Special Place 

I was learning how to add detail using my five senses.  One thing that worked well for me way being in my special place to get idea.  One thing I could do better next time is find more words for the smells.  Overall I think I did well.

My Reflection

I am learning to first information in a non-fiction book by skimming and scanning.

Skimming is when we read quickly over a text a text to get a idea of what the book is about.

Scanning is when we look for specific information in a text and we look for key words and phrases.

I read a book about white tailed spiders.

I scanned the book for facts about white tailed spider.

I buddy up with Deborah to compare our animals using a venn diagram.  It was tricky because I did not know what to do because it was confusing.  My next step is to find more facts about white-tailed spiders.
