Hello my name is Johnny I go to an amazing school called Elm Park School that is a primary, i’m a year 6 my class is room 21 and my amazing teacher is Mrs Borcher. Mrs Borcher gave the blue group a few novels to choose from, I chose Abandoned On The Wild frontier that tells me about how your father got killed in the war of 1812 and how your mother got kidnapped by the Indians etc.
While reading about you you were making me really jealous because you basically get a life of freedom because you get treated as a master and get to do nearly whatever you want. Unlike me I have to stick to many rules. Anyway what’s it like having freedom? What’s it like having a pony and is it hard work to take care of? Was it really scary being put in a rain barrel for hours?
It has been fun and interesting to read about your life and a bit of your adventure to try and save your mother and hopefully return to a normal life.

Thank you very much for helping and encouraging me through activities and making a challenge on the rock climbing wall.
My favourite activity was Archery because it was fun to get as many points as possible. I was proud of myself when I achieved 3 bulls-eyes in Archery.
I was very tired because the day wore me out and I managed to get a good night’s rest. Hope you enjoyed the camp.

What I enjoyed is Archery because I never tried it before. Something I achieved was getting 3 bull-eyes in Archery. Something I didn't enjoy was not getting enough sleep because people kept on talking, shouting and flashing their torches. My Favorite memory was in stack' em saving myself from the wind blowing on the crates so many times.

I am learning to answer inference type questions by looking for KEYWORDS and USING THE TEXT and my PRIOR KNOWLEDGE to GATHER THE INFORMATION and to JUSTIFY MY ANSWER.
Read the following passage and answer the questions below using full sentences. Underline the keywords and justify your answers.
Peter and Ralphie went exploring last Saturday. Peter carried a net and a bag to put specimens in. Ralphie ran ahead and stuck his nose into a bush searching. Peter followed behind bending to grab a small, red and black, winged critter. Peter looked up, held out his hand, and decided to put on his wide brimmed hat and jacket. He tucked the specimen bag under his jacket so it wouldn’t get wet.
When the sun came back out and the clouds moved away, Peter and Ralphie sat down for lunch. Peter had a ham sandwich, and Ralphie had a big, juicy steak bone.
After lunch was finished, the boys trotted on home and observed their new pet. Later that day, the two played catch while the sun set.
Summer was over, and Peter had to get up early the next day.

I knew that because the text said that summer was over.
I am learning how to answer and justify inference type questions.
I found it easy to find the keywords in the text.
Something I could improve on is using the correct verbs.
How I will do that is reading my answers properly.

W.A.L.T: write a persuasive argument
Why We Should Recycle More?
Did you know that dolphins, whales and turtles can choke or starve by confusing plastic bags for jellyfish. I'm here to persuade you to recycle more.
My first reason is it’s reusable because we don’t have to make as many things that is not recyclable or reusable and it saves more land because there’s less trash to put in the landfill. You can also turn what you recycle into something useful like a car tyre into a big flower. Or some plastic bags from the shops into some bin bags around the house. Or used paper into wrapping paper or envelope paper. And some old envelopes into some scrap paper to make notes on. And those are some of the ways that you could reduce rubbish usage.
My second reason is it doesn’t smell as bad because some takeaways left in the rubbish bin for a week will smell much worse than if you put some bottles in the recycling bin and some of the thing you chuck in your rubbish bin could be bad for your lungs. However most of the things that are recyclable wouldn’t be bad for your lungs. And if you say why not incinerate, yes it certainly has some advantages like reducing the rubbish in the landfill and it can produce useful energy. But it can also produce toxic air pollution and burning almost everything around it except for plant that has just grown very recently. And landfills can be horribly polluting. They look awful, they stink, they take up space that could be used for better things and sometimes can create toxic soil and water pollution that can kill fish in our rivers and seas.
My last reason is it’s good for the animals because some rubbish that wasn’t put in the rubbish bin properly like a plastic bag could trap a landing bird and in some restaurants and ships once there finish with some oil they will dump the oil in the sea and think it will disappear. But what’s actually happening is that the water gets polluted and eventually kills the sea creatures. And an organisation in the U.S called the E.P.A says that some old oil can negatively affect up to 1 million gallons of fresh water. And over 1 million seabird and 1 hundred thousand sea mammals are killed by pollution every year.
In conclusion for the above reasons, it being reusable, not smelling as bad and good for the animals. I hope I’ve persuaded you to recycle more.

I didn’t enjoy any part of writing my speech.
